El Hadji Diouf slams former Sunderland defender Anton Ferdinand - 'He was the number one w****r'

Former Premier League striker El Hadji Diouf has labelled his time with Sunderland as 'sh***y' and claims the team was full of 'little w****rs'.

In a stunning rant, Diouf labelled defender Anton Ferdinand as the 'number one w****r' during his six-month spell at the Stadium of Light in 2008.

"I spent six s****y months there," Diouf told So Foot.

"We were not a team. There were little w****rs in the group who thought they were the best but they were crap. Anton, he was the number one w****r."

Diouf claimed he almost got in a fight with Ferdinand during one training session, before later being involved in an altercation at a night club.

"We were not fighting, I sorted him out, before we were separated.

"I said to him, 'Let's go to the gym, I will take you on.' He did not want to. I said, 'You are like your brother... you walk like him, you eat like him - write your own story.' Inevitably, it was difficult in terms of atmosphere.

"I ignored him [in the club]; that must have bothered him, so he came over to test me.

"I'm a man, I can defend myself. If there is a crazy guy who wants to take me on, I'll show him that I'm crazier than him.

"The first of his friends who came too close to me, he ended up running away. Since I was drinking champagne, I broke my glass and I attacked them… I came out unscathed, and since then, the club now uses plastic glasses."
