Eintrach Frankfurt striker Rob Friend is a key transfer target of Vancouver Whitecaps according to The Province.
The 31-year old target man is reportedly in contract talks with the Whitecaps regarding a possible move back home to Canada this year.
Friend has fallen out of favour at Frankfurt recently and could be set for his first shift in MLS after spending his entire career in Europe.
The 6ft 5in centre-forward kicked off with Norwegian club Moss FK in 2003 before moving to Molde the following year. Since then he has played with Heerenveen, Heracles Almelo, Borussia Monchengladbach and Hertha Berlin before his 2011 shift to Frankfurt.
