Egyptian starlet Sobhi determined to shine with Stoke

Ramadan Sobhi is hoping he can soon finalise his transfer to Stoke City so he can 'shine' for the Potters.

The 19-year-old Egyptian winger has agreed to join the Premier League club but still needs to sort out a visa in order to complete the deal.

Al Ahly ace Sobhi is hoping he is given special dispensation for a UK work permit despite falling short of the criteria the Football Association requires so he can swiftly become a well-known figure in world football.

"I will do all in my power to shine with Stoke, especially because my ambition has no limits," he said.

"I am setting goals for myself from the start, hoping to set a good image of an Egyptian player in Europe and, as I grow, become known around the world.

"This will not come through words but in action and a lot of practice."

It is understood that Stoke will pay an initial fee of £2.5million for Sobhi, who has been capped six times by Egypt, with the deal possibly rising to £5m with add-ons and bonuses.
