Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Aboutrika is a target for several Premier League sides, skysports.com reports.

Aboutrika is widely-regarded as the best player in Egypt and his agent Jesse Learoyd-Hill, who has been given the mandate by Al Ahly to work on any transfer for Aboutrika, admits two Premier League teams are chasing the player.

"I can confirm two clubs in England have made contact about Aboutrika's availability," Learoyd-Hill told skysports.com.

"However, contrary to reports in the media Manchester City are not one of those that are interested in him.

"I am in negotiations with a couple of clubs but as yet there has been no agreement with any parties.

"The interest in him is not surprising and those who get the chance to see him in Japan will have confirmed to them the general opinion on the ability of the player."
