Egyptian club pay homage to Liverpool ace Salah

The Egyptian football club Ismaily, which plays in the Egyptian Premier League, has honoured both Mohamed Salah and his father.

Salah, Liverpool's on-fire winger, and his father Salah Ghaly have received honorary memberships to the Ismaily club, showing how much Salah is currently valued by his fans back in Egypt.

The country has always seen Mo Salah as the player who could break onto the international stage. He had decent spells at Chelsea, Fiorentina and Roma before signing for Liverpool.

But his move to Liverpool has seen him catapult to national stardom, given his sensational performances in the most popular league in the world.

Salah has 28 Premier League goals in 30 games this season.

"We are proud that you belong to us. Whoever loves this club knows the art of football well and so, we are honoured to award you and your father an honorary membership to Ismaily Football Club. We wish you the best because you are the best," Ismaily's tweeted from an official account.
