Egyptian striker Emad Meteb is being linked with Middlesbrough.

Everton boss Dave Moyes poured cold water on claims last week that they had agreed terms with Meteb's club, Al Ahly, ahead of the winter market.

Boro are now being credited with interest in Meteb, who is currently playing on-loan at Saudi Arabian outfit Ittihad Jeddah.

The Teessiders already have two Egypt internationals on their books in Mido and Mohamed Shawky.
