Egypt star Ahmed Al Muhammadi is again in talks with Blackburn Rovers.
The 22-year-old right winger had a trial at Ewood Park in October but attempts to sign him collapsed when Paul Ince was sacked as manager.
However, his club, ENNPI Cairo, say the Barclays Premier League club have renewed their interest in a player dubbed the 'Egyptian Beckham'.
Director of football Alaa Abdul-Sadek said: "Blackburn have opened fresh talks to purchase Al Muhammadi this summer.
"Blackburn want him to undergo a five-day trial, but the board turned them down as Al Muhammadi was tested at the same club before.
"A second trial would be pointless I believe. If they want to sign him, they have to come up with a solid offer."
