Manchester United are into the 2016/17 EFL Cup final after getting past Hull City.
Jose Mourinho's United took a 2-0 lead into the second leg at the KCOM Stadium and despite being beaten 2-1 by the Tigers, progress to Wembley with a narrow 3-2 aggregate.
Hull sent a scare through the Red Devils camp when they took the lead on a cold night on Humberside through Tom Huddlestone's well-taken penalty on 35 minutes.
Harry Maguire had his shirt tugged on by Marcos Rojo which was enough for referee Jon Moss to point to the spot, allowing Huddlestone to draw first blood in the second tie.
20 minutes into the second half, there was a sense of relief among United when Paul Pogba made no mistake from eight yards when Zlatan Ibrahimovic's ball for Marcus Rashford fell to him from Huddlestone's toe.
From there it was a case of managing the contest for United, who came close when Rojo hammered Jesse Lingard's corner onto the crossbar.
Hull also had their share of misfortune with Oumar Niasse heading onto the woodwork on 78 minutes, but the Everton loanee managed to give the Tigers a lifeline on 84.
A lovely pass from Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic sent David Meyler down the right and he was able to find Senegal striker Niasse at the back post to turn home.
It set up a tense finish for the visiting team as the Hull locals urged their side on but Marco Silva's gallant side were unable to find the goal that would send the match into extra-time.
United, who had their 17-game unbeaten run broken by Hull, will now meet Southampton in the final at Wembley on February 26 as they strive to win their fifth League Cup.
