The Wolves squad feel they have let the club down after relegation from the top flight, according to midfielder Dave Edwards.

Wolves are condemned to finish bottom of the Premier League table and signed off at Molineux on Sunday with a drab goalless draw against Everton.

The fans mixed black humour with anger directed towards the board at the end of a miserable season, and Edwards wanted to assure them the players understand their frustrations.

He said: "They feel just the same as us - we're ashamed, we're upset and we're disappointed at the way we've played because the manager has put faith in the players he selects and we haven't been good enough this season.

"And we feel we've let the club down as a whole, from the people at the top to TC (Connor) especially, because everyone loves him."
