Edwards to make Wolves return tonight

Wolves will regain Dave Edwards tonight when the Welshman makes his first appearance since February.

The home Carling Cup meeting with Millwall will be the match in which Edwards returns from a long absence because of a back injury and he is excited about the prospect after enduring a rough six months.

"I'm fully fit and it would be a great chance if I can play. It's nice to have found out the cause of all the problems - lots of niggles were probably related to the back problem at the end of February," he told Express & Star.

"It's made me stronger as a person and I feel I've grown up a lot in the last six months, both on and off the pitch. I found out a lot about myself because it's very mentally draining.

"A lot of the time when you're injured you can still do weight programmes but, for three or four months, I was at home and putting on weight.

"I was doing core exercises every day and, looking back at videos of me from a year ago, it's a million miles different in terms of how much stronger I am in that region."
