Eduardo Berizzo is demanding big money to take the reins at Athletic Bilbao.

Marca says Berizzo continues to negotiate his future with Athletic Club and is asking for 2.5 million euros with the Basque club having put 1.5 million euros on the table.

The Argentine, who was dismissed as Sevilla coach earlier this season, was previously linked to Athletic last summer but in the end they opted for Ziganda, who has his days numbered due to a disappointing season overall.

Berizzo travelled from Chile and is in the Basque capital to continue talks with the club where another dispute is over the length of the contract with the coach wanting one year and Athletic are proposing two.
