Edu refuses to lash out at Valencia coach Ronald Koeman after being frozen out.

"He must have his reasons for his decision," said the former Arsenal midfielder. "I don't want to say anything that will create controversy as we all must move forward as a united group. I am ready to help when needed."

Edu was axed by Koeman at the last minute for their Copa del Rey tie against Atletico Madrid and he added: "It was a difficult situation. I cannot say what I'd like to about the matter because any words can be twisted and used against me.

"I prefer not to enter the politics and keep my thoughts to myself."
