Edu has thrown down the gauntlet to Real Betis chief Manuel Ruiz de Lopera.

The Brazilian striker is still waiting to hear from Lopera about a new contract and threatened: "If I had been treated with a little more respect things might have been different.

"Everyone knows that if he (Lopera) does not call me before December I am not going to renew."
