Edu has made a plea to Real Betis management to let the players know what is going on after suspending all new contract talks.

The Brazilian striker said: "I understand that you first have to think of the team, which is in a troubling situation. But the club, with players awaiting contract talks, could also make initial contact (with the players).

"I am not saying to start contract talks, but they should talk to us and say what they think. That would be more normal, what happens with all teams."
