Edu hits Rangers comeback trail

Maurice Edu made his first appearance in seven months for Rangers reserves in a 2-1 defeat by Partick Thistle. The United States international played 80 minutes of the practice match at Murray Park.

The 23-year-old has been out of action since suffering a serious knee injury in against Dundee United.

Edu will now be keen to force his way back into Walter Smith's first-team plans ahead of the World Cup this summer, where the Americans will face England, Slovenia and Algeria in the group stage.
