Jubilo, three-time Japanese champions, are looking to revive their fortunes.

After finishing in ninth in 2007, Jubilo currently are languishing in 16th place in the J-League, just two spots off the bottom.

According to reports in Tokyo, the Shizuoka club are prepared to offer the 31 year-old, who is unlikely to win a new deal at the Spanish club, £750 pounds a year.

"He's one of the players we have short-listed," Jubilo told Reuters.

"The holding midfield role is a high priority position for us."
