Edmilson has been given the green light by Barcelona medical staff to begin full-scale training.

The Brazil international defender has fully recovered from knee surgery and will come into first team reckoning after the Spanish Liga recess.

Edmilson's return is crucial for coach Frank Rijkaard, who will lose defensive midfielder Yaya Toure in January to Ivory Coast's African Nations Cup campaign.
