Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has a deal for Napoli star Edinson Cavani. Cavani is a top target for Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini, who has posted assistant Angelo Gregucci regularly to Napoli games to track the Uruguayan's progress.
However, Sport says Perez has a deal "practically closed" for Cavani after getting the green light from Carlo Ancelotti, who will leave PSG to succeed Jose Mourinho as Real coach at the end of this season.
As tribalfootball.com brought to you in January, Real have been negotiating with Cavani's camp for months, but Perez needed confirmation from their next coach to push the deal over the line.
Cavani is delighted, having made it clear to his management that Real was his first choice.
