Dutch legend Edgar Davids feels the FA should've taken action against Wigan Athletic winger Callum McManaman.
McManaman escaped action after his X-rated challenge on Newcastle United fullback Massadio Haidara.
Davids, 40, now in charge at League Two Barnet and nicknamed 'the Pitbull' for the ferocity of his play, said: "People will think: 'the FA let it slide'. It's not a good signal. It goes across all the world and people will think that is English football.
"They could make a statement and show this is not acceptable. Now people will think that they can get away with it."
