Ecuador team doctor Patricio Maldonado expects Manchester United winger Antonio Valencia to be missing for six months following his horror ankle injury.
Valencia suffered a suspected fracture dislocation of his left ankle after an innocuous challenge with Rangers' Kirk Broadfoot during the 0-0 Champions League draw at Old Trafford.
"He will be out for an initial four to five months, and then he will need a lot of rehabilitation to recover his mobility, so it will be at least six months before he returns to action," Maldonado told Ecuadorian television.
