Ecuador U21 international striker Ronny Benitez is chasing a deal with Croatia's NK Lokomotiva.
After a spell with Ujpest FC in Hungary, Benitez is on extended trial with Lokomotiva.
Benitez is the younger brother of Birmingham City hero Christian Benitez, who tragically lost his life last year in Qatar.
The 22 year-old is a free agent after his Mexican club, Delfines, went bust earlier this year.
Franjo Blazevic of Legacy Sports Management feels Lokomotiva management are willing to give Benitez every chance to prove his worth.
Though in the middle of busy schedule, Lokomotiva are happy for Benitez to train with the reserve-team to acclimatise himself during the week before kicking off his trial in a formal fashion.
"He's new to Europe," Blazevic told tribalfootball.com, "but after training with the reserves, the coach is confident he should be ready for senior training and show them the real player that he is."
