Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish is convinced Arsenal's season fell apart at St Andrews last season.

McLeish believes Eduardo's horrific injury at Birmingham probably cost Arsenal the Premier League title - and his own team's survival in the top flight.

"We were affected as much as Arsenal were and it was without doubt a factor in both our seasons," insisted McLeish, whose side went down on the final day of the season.

"When Martin (Taylor) came back I didn't think he was quite himself and I think he was also affected as much as Arsenal.

"It wasn't the Martin who had been playing previously before the Eduardo incident."
