Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish is delighted to have secured Cameron Jerome to a new contract.
"I'm pleased that we managed to fix up Cameron." McLeish told the Birmingham Mail. "I see a confidence about him just now.
"I've often said he's a work in progress and the challenge this year is to be more prolific in the amount of chances he gets, and that includes on the training ground. He has proved that he can score goals in the Premier League. He got seven last time, it could have been more.
"There are also other things in his game he can improve on. I have spoken to him privately about them and he has got to make himself the very best he can because he has got some assets that people would kill for at the top level, and if he can improve on other aspects then he could be anything."
