England youth international Nathan Eccleston is impressing Liverpool's coaching staff.

Eccleston struck twice last week in Liverpool U18's 3-2 win against Stoke City and coach Hughie McAuley told liverpoolfc.tv: "I was pleased for Nathan because he has been working hard and making his contribution in games without getting his goals. But on Saturday he scored two good goals and that will boost his confidence no end.

"We just try to improve every week as a team and as individuals."
