Eastmond progress at Arsenal threatened by police trouble

Arsenal youngster Craig Eastmond is facing police investigation.

The Daily Mail reports Eastmond's hopes of focusing on a run in Arsenal's first team have been dented after he was re-bailed following an arrest on suspicion for indecent exposure.

The midfielder, 20 on Thursday, was first arrested in October before returning to Wandsworth police station last week, and he will now have the matter hanging over him until the new year after being bailed again until January 25.

'A 19-year-old has been bailed pending further enquiries, returning in late January,' confirmed a Metropolitan Police spokesperson.

Eastmond has been tipped for a bright future for Arsenal and England, with Arsene Wenger describing him as 'very intelligent in his reading of the game'.

After being handed a fresh long-term contract earlier this year, he has made three appearances in the current campaign but scored an own goal against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League.
