East Midlands duo cop for FA fine

East Midlands rivals Derby and Nottingham Forest have been fined by the Football Association and warned about their future conduct following their Coca-Cola Championship clash earlier this season. Both clubs were charged with failing to control their players and officials while Forest striker Nathan Tyson was charged with improper conduct following the game at the City Ground on August 29.

Forest denied their charge but a FA Regulatory Commission found it proved at Thursday's personal hearing.

Derby were warned as to their future conduct and fined £20,000. Of this sum £10,000 is to be suspended. Forest were warned as to their future conduct and fined £25,000 of which £10,000 is suspended.

Tyson was warned as to his future conduct, fined £5,000 and given a suspended two-match ban. All suspended sanctions will be automatically activated should the parties be found guilty of similar offences before the end of the 2010-11 season.
