Robert Earnshaw has branded Derby County a "Conference team" after their home humiliation by Preston.

The Wales striker said: "It was horrible. The first half was especially poor but even if it got a little bit better we still lost 4-1 to a team struggling in a lower league. We looked like a Conference team rather than one in the Premier League. Six months after we went up we are still making the same stupid mistakes, and we don't seem to be learning from them.

"We look like we are going to concede every time a team attacks. We're angry with ourselves. The manager has had a right go at us and you have to accept that, as well as the way the fans reacted."
