Earnshaw backs West Brom boss Moore for success

Robert Earnshaw believes that Darren Moore has every chance of being a permanent success at West Bromwich Albion.

Moore impressed at the back end of last season, leading the side to a run of impressive wins.

However, it was not enough to stay in the Premier League. He will be managing them permanently in the Championship this season.

And Earnshaw believes he is the right man for the job.

"It's important to have black managers and guys from ethnic backgrounds doing well because football has to evolve," former West Brom striker Earnshaw said to Sky Sports.

"Things will change, but we have to help that process so people are more aware of its importance.

"It's not just going to happen if we wait for it. People have to be given a chance and I think Darren is a great example to others.

"He is a coach who has been in the background for a while and now he's been thrown in at the deep end, but he'll do a great job wherever he goes."
