Tottenham attacking midfielder Dele Alli says that players coming home early from their holidays shows how much they want to achieve with the club.
Spurs had one of the largest contingent of players who went deep into the World Cup among Premier League teams.
Many of their players are in the England and Belgium squads.
But they returned early from their holidays to help the side for the start of the league season, a move Alli applauded.
"We're very ambitious, every player. We want to achieve things," Alli said to the Evening Standard.
"We want to keep improving as a team and individually as well.
"We want to help the team go as far as we can, so we want to be playing. It's down to the manager to make a decision on who he picks, but thankfully we got the three points against Newcastle."
