Earle: Espanyol boss Quique Sanchez Flores the man for Stoke

Former Jamaican international Robbie Earle has stated that Quique Sanchez Flores is the right man to lead Stoke City.

City recently dispensed with the services of Mark Hughes after the Potters suffered an embarrassing exit from the FA Cup at the hands of League Two outfit.

And now Earle has urged the club to appoint former Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores as the Welshman's replacement.

Earle wrote in his column for the Stoke Sentinel: "In fact, I am interested to see the former Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores, who is now at Espanyol, among the betting to be the next Stoke manager. He impressed me in his one season managing in England, at Watford in 2015/16, when he finished 13th and got to the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

"However, that wasn't enough to earn him a second campaign at a club who have made a habit of moving managers on after one season. I liked the way he set his teams up and the way the squad, assembled from all over the world, seemed to enjoy playing for him."
