Edin Dzeko says his £27 million fee won't affect him at Manchester City.
With Wolfsburg he scored 26 goals, plus 10 assists, in 32 matches as they won their first Bundesliga title in 2008-09. He was Germany's top scorer last term with 22 and has hit 17 goals in 31 international for Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Dzeko said: "I want to do my best to show people that I'm worth this money. I know it is a lot but I'm not a guy who feels pressure.
"I have a lot of confidence and it is very important for every player to have confidence.
"For me, the fee isn't important - what is important is that I'm ready for the games and to be fit. Then the rest is up to me.
"I am very pleased to be here at such a big club with big ambition like Manchester City. There were other clubs interested but I saw something else in City.
"Like me they are ambitious and together we can have a lot of success. It is a good project, a good team and a good coach in Roberto Mancini.
"I had a lot of success in Germany, 3½ beautiful years. We won the league for the first time in our history and I was happy. But I wanted a change and to try something new."
