Dzeko "super happy" after hitting late Man City double

Edin Dzeko was delighted with his late double in Manchester City's win at West Bromwich Albion.

With Bosnian now the Blues' top scorer with six goals this season, he will be hoping to get the nod against Ajax on Wednesday - though for now, he is just happy he helped change the game.

"I enjoyed scoring those two goals and right now, I'm super happy," he told City's website.

"I took my shirt off and ran over to the City fans after my second because I didn't know what else to do! It is hard to play for 70 minutes with just ten players but even though we were a man down, we still created a lot of chances.

"We showed character and I think we really deserved three points. As for me, I'm just happy that I helped the team win and was able to play my part.

"The manager knows I am there if he needs me and I had 15 minutes to try and help the team score two goals, which we did. We were better than West Brom today and this was the right result, I think.

"It's my job to score goals and this win meant a lot to the team and our fans and I am so happy right now."
