The arrival of Edin Dzeko from Wolfsburg is expected to see Emmanuel Adebayor squeezed out of Manchester City.
The Mirror says Dzeko's arrival is part of manager Roberto Mancini's overhaul of his strikers and heading for the exit will be Roque Santa Cruz and Adebayor, who cost City a combined £43million just 18 months ago.
Adebayor is a target for Juventus and Tottenham, and City would want the former Arsenal hitman to move to Italy, even if it is only on loan until the end of the season.
Santa Cruz is wanted by Lazio, who failed to land the Paraguayan striker during the last transfer window, although the player would prefer to stay in England.
