Dynamo Moscow sound out Celtic striker Riordan

The Daily Mail says Dynamo have appointed a British-based agent to establish the former Hibs star's willingness to move to Eastern Europe.

Wanted by city rivals Lokomotiv Moscow two years ago, Riordan refused point blank to countenance a transfer to the Russian capital - thereby opening the door for ex-Hibs team-mate Garry O'Connor to become the first Scottish player to head for the former Soviet bloc.

Dynamo are also casting their eye over other SPL strikers as they seek to replicate O'Connor's relative success at rivals Lokomotiv and end a 30-year run without a league title.

However, Rangers forward Kris Boyd has already been ruled out as a possible transfer target.
