Dynamo Moscow’s Wilkshire wary of Celtic’s McDonald
Dynamo Moscow midfielder Luke Wilkshire has warned his teammates of the dangers of Celtic striker Scott McDonald.
The Socceroos teammates will clash in Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League qualifier first leg at Celtic Park and Wilkshire is wary of the threat McDonald poses.
"I get on really well with Scott and I'm sure he'll fancy his chances of scoring against us,” Wilkshire told The Daily Record.
"He is a natural goalscorer and has scored against Milan and Man Utd when both were European Champions, so that tells you about his quality.
“We will just need to make sure we are prepared for him.
“I wanted to draw Celtic as I wanted to play in Glasgow at their ground and, of course, against Scott,” Wilkshire added.
"I'm looking forward to playing against him and as soon as the draw was made we spoke on the phone.
"Scott has done well since he has gone to Celtic and I am very happy for him.
"He had some tough times to begin with, but it has gone well for him.
"He is the main danger man we have to look out for because he is a poacher and a scorer.
"I'll make sure my team-mates are well aware of that.
"Hopefully we can keep him quiet and he won't manage to score against us."
