Dynamo Moscow coach Dan Petrescu is pricing himself out of a move to Crystal Palace.
The Mirror says the Romanian is willing to take a major pay cut to quit Russian giants Dinamo Moscow, but Palace still cannot sort out a contract with him.
Petrescu was prepared to take around £30,000 a week to come back to England were he was a hero with Chelsea and Sheffield Wednesday.
But the Eagles won't pay that much in a guaranteed wage and would need Petrescu to sign up for much less in his contract if they were relegated.
Petrescu's friend and former Tottenham player Gica Popescu said yesterday: "Dan won't sign for Palace! We had a 40 minute chat today, he told me that. I advised him not to go.
"I know why he didn't go, I know what his terms were, and also the offer."
