Dynamo Kiev fullback Badr El-Kaddouri has revealed he has interest from Aston Villa and Newcastle.

"There have been enquiries from Aston Villa since last year, however since Saturday, Aston Villa want me," El-Kaddouri, who played against Manchester United in last season's Champions League, told skysports.com.

"They are an ambitious club, my agent is looking into it.

"He told me Newcastle have made enquiries about me and they are also willing to sign me."

When asked whether he had a preference for a move to Villa Park or St James' Park, El-Kaddouri was non-committal.

He added: "I am not sure, I am not answering those questions.

"What I know is there are contacts with the two teams and the press will know my destination very soon."
