Dynamo Kiev coach Valery Gazzaev is keen on Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko.
There are suggestions the 32-year-old is open to a return to his first club, where he won five league titles between 1994 and 1999, but that his pay demands are likely to be an obstacle.
Roma see him as a cheap replacement should Mirko Vucinic leave for Manchester United, but Gazzaev boss is undeterred.
The Russian said: "In life, nothing is impossible. Andriy is a great footballer and a wonderful person. I would be very fortunate to have him in my attack.
"He belongs to Chelsea, but I am always ready to work with him."
