West Ham United midfielder Kieron Dyer has cost the club a stunning £407,000 A GAME!
The Hammers' brittle midfielder limped off with a hamstring tweak just 21 minutes into Tuesday's 3-1 defeat at Bolton.
It was Dyer's first Premier League start since the opening day of the season.
His only other start this season came in the Carling Cup defeat at the Reebok in September.
In fact, Dyer has made a total of just 18 appearances - either starting or from the bench - since joining from Newcastle on a £60,000-a-week deal in August 2007.
Hammers legend Tony Cottee told The Sun: "I really feel for the lad. It just seems to be injury after injury.
"On his day, Kieron is a quality player but there's nothing more frustrating than seeing a player like him restricted by injuries.
"We had it with Dean Ashton, who announced his retirement last week, and now we have it with Kieron.
"I am confident he can battle back.
"Hopefully he can recover from this latest setback and play a part in our crucial games to come."
