Burnley and Brighton played out a 0-0 draw at the Amex on Saturday.
A missed penalty by Glenn Murray was the key moment of the goalless draw. Murray was deemed to have been felled by James Tarkowski in the 36th minute but Murray sent the resulting spot-kick well over the bar.
Clarets boss Sean Dyche said afterwards: “I thought today, on reflection, that a point is a very good result.
“It was a tight game They (Brighton) rested players to go down to Tottenham in the week and they obviously viewed this as a big game and one they could win
“I'm pleased that they didn't and I'm pleased that we had a third clean sheet and seven points in a week.
“In the Premier League that's a tough ask and I'm delighted with the players for their week's work.
"Finding ways to win and finding ways to get a point in this league is very difficult, no matter who you are playing, so that's a really good return."
Dyche felt justice was done when Murray spurted the gift by blazing over from 12 yards
“That's an honest attempt to go and run for the ball and it's a tangle of legs," said Dyche.
“It's hard because it's in the area and do they get given or not. If that's in the middle of the pitch does it get given?
It's a tangle of legs; there's no deliberate action, I don't think. But it's a tough one to call. That's what it looked like from where I was."
