Dyche not getting excited as Burnley out of dropzone

Burnley boss Sean Dyche saw his team move out of the dropzone after their draw with Newcastle United.

Dyche refused to get carried away despite watching his side use the point earned to climb out of the relegation zone, at the expense of Hull.

The Clarets are now unbeaten in four games having followed up back-to-back wins with consecutive draws.

"Don't get me wrong, I'm not playing it down, I'm just being honest," he noted.

"It's a relentless, unforgiving division.

"It's the same mantra as last season: look at one game at a time, focus on it, make sure you're ready for that one, evaluate it after the event and move on to the next one.

"We like that mantra and that's the way we work.

"We've got to keep turning so-nearlies into actuals but there's certainly life in these performances.

"That journey (beating the drop) is a different one and it's important we do what we have done all season and focus on performances.

"Every game we have to deliver."
