Dyche confident Burnley better equipped for Premier League

Burnley boss Sean Dyche feels they're well equipped to face the Premier League season with the transfer window now shut.

Dyche finished the transfer window signing over £21million worth of cheques, splashing out £10.5m for Jeff Hendrick from Derby County and £7.35m on Anderlecht's Steven Defour.

He said: “The biggest challenges have been recruitment. It was a challenge two years ago and it has been now.

“But the structure of the club is improving all the time. The powers that be want to run the club appropriately so they will last for years and not just for 12 months.

“We're miles ahead of where we should be. We couldn't sign players you will have recognised playing Premier League football for the last 10 years as they're out of our market.

“But we're in a better place and the first tick in the box will be staying in the Premier League."
