Dutch PFA chief: Influx of Chelsea, Man City players now out of hand

The Dutch PFA are hitting out at Chelsea and Manchester City over the amount of players they place in the top two divisions on-loan.

Players' union chief Ko Andriessen is calling on the KNVB to intervene.

"The influx of players from Chelsea and Manchester City is getting out of hand," he told Voetbal International.

"We cannot bet on youth training if at the same time the first teams are increasingly filling up places with youth from foreign clubs. We are threatening to become a satellite competition and a few strategic choices have to be made very quickly.

"ADO Den Haag has taken a Chinese striker, Vitesse gets players from Chelsea, NAC from City and Fortuna Sittard also goes for everything from the outside.

"It's about balance. I understand that top talents such as Mason Mount and Angeliño have really added something. Only it should not be the case that whole armies are randomly dropped here."
