Spain coach Julen Lopetegui can end doubts about the international future of Marcos Asensio tonight.

The Real Madrid midfielder also qualifies for Holland, but an appearance in the World Cup qualifier with Liechtenstein will end all doubts.

Asensio (whose second surname is Willemsen) has a Dutch mother, meaning Holland has unsurprisingly taken an interest and tried to tempt the player to the Oranje on several occasions throughout his development.

“There has been contact, although my idea is stay with Spain," Asensio told AS. “My Dutch family has asked me to go there."
