Dutch football chiefs have weighed into Real Madrid's world record transfer bid for Tottenham star Gareth Bale.
KNVB chairman Michael van Praag has slammed talk of Real being prepared to pay over €100 million for the Welshman.
"The transfer amounts paid for footballers are gradually becoming ridiculous," said Van Praag.
"It is up to UEFA to assess whether that expenditure is within the framework of Financial Fair Play," the KNVB president continued. "If that is not the case, they have a problem. The ultimate sanction is that they cannot play anymore (in UEFA competition)."
