Geovanni and Nick Barmby still have a role to play at the KC Stadium this season states Hull boss Phil Brown. Brown has explained his reasoning behind leaving Geovanni and Barmby out against Spurs.

"The team selection was about energy and attitude," said Brown in the Hull Daily Mail. "I was looking for a little bit more aggression.

"We thought Tottenham were concerned about our ability in the air and our size and height."
