Manchester City captain Richard Dunne says the arrival of manager Sven Goran Eriksson has transformed the club.
He told City's website: "The manager's invested heavily in the summer, he comes with a big reputation which in turn brings more pressure with it but the bonus with the manager is that he takes all the pressure.
"The press are more interested in him than in individual players, we are training with confidence in what we are doing and so far we have delivered. Also, the more successful we are between now and January, the better the quality of players that could come in.
"I know it's still early in the season, but if we can keep performing like we did at Fulham, as well as defend a bit better, hopefully we won't be too far away from the top six."
