Dunga says Fiorentina have pulled off coup with Romulo capture

Carlos Dunga says Fiorentina have pulled off a coup with the signing of Atletico Paranaense fullback Romulo.

Former Brazil coach and Fiorentina midfielder is a big fan of the defender.

“He can reach the by-line remarkably easily,” Dunga told the Corriere dello Sport.

“Romulo has tactical intelligence and above all incredible precision in sending crosses to the middle of the box.

“In Brazil many say he reminds them of Douglas Maicon and Cafu, but in my view the similarity is only really with Cafu.

“Maicon is a different player, whereas Romulo has that same speed and change of pace as the former Roma right-back.”
