Brazil coach Dunga says Juventus striker Amauri isn't guaranteed a place in his squad.
"There are lots of champions from Brazil in every position," Dunga stressed.
"Whether we are talking about Amauri or anyone else, the door is always open for talented players.
"It's not the Coach's job to freeze anyone out, but the players just need to prove themselves to me on the pitch.
"Amauri's future depends on how he plays and how the other strikers perform.
"We have lots of options, like Luis Fabiano, who won the Golden Shoe last year and scores regularly for Brazil.
"Adriano has scored two goals in three games and there's Alexandre Pato, who is growing as a player, as well as others.
"As for whether Amauri should play for Italy or Brazil, that is a decision he will feel in his heart."
