Dunfermline boss fears the worst as Rangers come calling

Dunfermline boss Jim McIntyre is expecting a backlash from Rangers when the teams meet at East End Park on Saturday. Scottish Premier League leaders Rangers were knocked out of the Scottish Communities League Cup by First Division Falkirk on Wednesday.

"They'll certainly be disappointed," said McIntyre.

"Any time you lose a game you look for the reaction in the next match."

The Pars have started the season well with away wins at St Johntone and Dundee United. However, they are yet to record a league victory on home soil.

"They (Rangers) were fabulous last weekend against Celtic and we know when the champions come to town that they have top players," added McIntyre.

"Every time the fixture list comes out the games you are looking for are Rangers and Celtic.

"You want to test yourself against the best and the players now have the opportunity to do that."
